fDeploy - Self-hosted deployment automation for Windows and IIS
Show HN: I built self-hosted deployment automation tool for Windows and IIS

fDeploy is a self-hosted deployment automation tool designed specifically for Windows environments and IIS. It simplifies the process of deploying applications to multiple servers, offering unlimited projects, deployment targets, and users even on its free Community tier. With a focus on simplicity and control, fDeploy provides direct downloads without requiring an account, and its perpetual licenses ensure no expiration or vendor lock-in. Whether you're a small organization or a large enterprise, fDeploy streamlines your deployment workflow, making it easier to ship Windows software reliably.
Perpetual licences do not expire. There is no licence server to contact and no kill switch, so an installation keeps running regardless of maintenance status or of what happens to the vendor.

The deployment process is edited in the dashboard rather than defined in source control.
There probably are businesses doing clickops who'd spend $2900 on a tool, but that market is rapidly shrinking. AI can write pretty decent terraform.

Having gotten my start on Windows and IIS, two things:
1. well done.
2. I don’t tell you my troubles.

Does Microsoft still maintain IIS? I thought it hadn't been meaningfully updated in about 8 years.
