ADSBee m1421 - World's smallest dual-band ADS-B receiver module
Show HN: We built the smallest dual-band aircraft tracker

ADSBee m1421 is an ultra-compact, open-source dual-band ADS-B receiver module from Pants for Birds. Weighing under 2 grams and drawing less than 60mW, it fits easily into drones, weather balloons, and other power-constrained devices. It receives both Mode S and UAT signals, including TIS-B and FIS-B, and supports multiple output protocols like GDL90 and MAVLink. Priced at just $48, it's an affordable solution for detect-and-avoid and aircraft tracking applications. The module is available in standard and NDAA-compliant variants, with open-source firmware and schematics.
We've packed dual-band ADS-B reception into a module smaller than a dime, making it possible to add aircraft tracking to almost any device.

I was about to say, “coolnamesalltaken already has a pretty small one,” but you are them! I’m definitely excited by this project, I have something I wanted to add ADS-B integration to and this looks like an even better option!
As for a question, how do you balance low power with performance? Is there a target range or use case to decide the performance envelope?

Any plans to launch a competitor to the ForeFlight Sentry? The current Sentry is severely overpriced.
A normal non ADS-B iPad GPS flight module is almost 10% the price of the Sentry
