StemDeck: Free, Open-Source AI Stem Separator That Runs 100% Locally
StemDeck, a free, open-source and local AI stem separator

StemDeck is a free, open-source desktop app that splits any song into six stems—vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, and other—using Meta AI's Demucs model. It runs entirely on your machine, so your audio never leaves your computer. No account, no subscription, no uploads. You can drop in an MP3, WAV, or FLAC, or paste a YouTube URL, then mix stems in a DAW-style editor with mute, solo, volume, and waveform zoom. Export individual stems or a custom mix. Built with Python, FastAPI, and Tauri, it's a privacy-friendly alternative to cloud services like Moises and LALAL.AI.
StemDeck is a free, open alternative to cloud stem-splitters like Moises and LALAL.AI: no account, no quota, no uploads, no subscription.

It still blows my mind that this is possible, as someone who spent a lot of time as a kid trying and failing to get “acapellas” by EQing or subtracting instrumentals from vocal versions haha

This is just a wrapper of htdemucs, if anyone's wondering if it was a new/better model.

Good use of AI!
Audacity can also do this through the OpenVINO plugins and I've been happy with its results (https://github.com/intel/openvino-plugins-ai-audacity).
