Spark: Sparklines in your shell

Spark is a tiny shell script by Jason A. Donenfeld that renders sparklines—compact, inline bar charts made of Unicode block characters—right in your terminal. It takes a series of numbers and outputs a visual representation that fits on a single line, making it perfect for quick data checks in scripts or command-line workflows. This project is a minimal, practical tool for developers who want instant visual feedback without leaving the shell.

I am not sure why this repository last updated in November 2011 is suddenly on the front page?

Anyway, a better known implementation (in Bash) is probably https://github.com/holman/spark, which was developed by Zach Holman, one of the first GitHub hires.

That is so cool, that now I'm brainstorming CLI things to build that need a sparkline. Wonder if Claude Code can learn to use this.
