ESP32-S3 pedal runs full-size Neural Amp Modeler captures with zero JavaScript
Guitar amp and effects pedal built on the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-2.06

CoyoPedal is a standalone guitar amp and effects pedal built on the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-2.06. It runs full-size Neural Amp Modeler A2 captures in real time, drives a class-compliant USB audio interface as a host, and uses a touchscreen UI written in TSX compiled to native C++ — no JavaScript engine on the device. The same firmware also builds for a bare ESP32-S3 module with no screen, where the BOOT button acts as the footswitch, and compiles to WebAssembly for browser play.
The screen is one board's worth of it rather than the pedal itself: the same firmware builds for a bare ESP32-S3 module with no panel at all, where the amp, the effects and the presets are the same and the BOOT button is the footswitch.

An ESP32-S3 for an amp? That's really pushing the limits of the chip. Curious to hear how they handled the latency.

I'm totally loving amp modelling and convolution reverb using PiPedal https://rerdavies.github.io/pipedal/

Cool to see the ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED used for audio processing. Been wanting to build something similar for my bass pedalboard.

This is interesting sloproject but in spite of all verbosity I still didn’t parse how do you interface with it when it’s running on intended hw rather than in browser.

Pretty neat getting decent audio DSP out of an ESP32. Bet that AMOLED screen makes tweaking parameters a breeze compared to knob-only pedals.
